And on that time, there were 850,000 registers. In 2002, there were 200,000,000 people who had downloaded ICQ. Nowadays, ICQ Inc. provides ICQ services in 18 different languages in the world.
MSN is a another common communication tool. According to Wikipedia: MSN and Wikipedia: MSN Messenger "MSN is an Internet service provider and web portal created by Micosoft on August 24, 1995, and the first version of MSN Messenger had been provided in 1999." And now, Msn messenger has developed to the version 7.5. Like ICQ, MSN enables users to send instant messages to their intended receivers.
When people use Msn, ICQ and other communication device such as Yahoo! Messenger, they can not only use texts in the message, they can also can use the web-cam and microphone to let their partner to see their face and hear their voice. This service serves friends living in different countries well, and it charges nothing. These features make these communication models a convenient and economic service.

Apart from instant message service provider Msn, ICQ, chat room and Yahoo! Messanger, e-mail is another very popular model in online dating service. E-mail, an electronic letter service as its name suggest, totally change the communicating mode in nowadays world. In fact, it is hard to cucalate how many people actually have their e-mail account, where it is also common for one people to own more than one account. For example, a student would have a personal account provided by their school. In addition, they may own some accounts applied by themselves in some e-mail providing web-site. However, as compared to instant message system, e-mail is not a fastest way to communicate with the others as people would need to check their mail boxes to get the letter or message. Nonetheless, e-mail is virtually the most popular communication model in nowadays world.
